The jacket provides me the elusive balance between having some wind and temp protection while not overheating. The marmot tempo is the jacket i go to for road and trail running in temps ranging 30 45 degrees fahrenheit. It s breathability is great for high exertion stuff but that comes at the expense of wind stopping ability. Always carry one in my pack on flights and in my packs on day hikes.
