Fibre board undelay isn t any good on screed concrete it will be ok on the timber part of your floor.
Otherwise the floor will take the shape of the surface over time.
There are compounds that are available to make.
Particularly problematic are humps left on.
When you install laminate flooring the subfloor surface has to be completely flat.
The four layers that make up laminate flooring is the top wear layer the design layer the inner core and the backing.
Plywood will be big enough to span the distance of any imperfections in the floor making it level.
Any imperfections that are not properly dealt with prior to laying your laminate floor will not be able to be corrected until the laminate flooring has been lifted and will likely then need to be replaced.
Step 1 lay the plywood.
Floor leveling materials are available at your local hardware store and can save you a lot of work.
To test for the flatness for laying laminate flooring on an uneven subfloor lay a 10 foot long 2x4 board.
Laminate boards aren t as flexible as vinyl but they still follow the contours of an uneven subfloor and you ll feel the unevenness when you walk on it.
Ideal situation is when you can check your sub floor quality before laminate flooring purchase and then make adequate decision.

Your laminate floor will flex up and down adjusting to your uneven sub floor and the end effect will be damaged locking system micro gaps between boards and poor floor performance.
Underlay will not hide major flaws and a floor that is uneven will need attention before you lay any laminate flooring.
It might take a few years though.
Before you do you ll need to level the floor.
If you are working with wood subfloor and you find that there are some extremely uneven surfaces you may want to apply new plywood over the top of the subfloor.
Laminate has a habit of cracking along the joints if the floor is uneven.
If your floor is only mildly uneven however you may get away with installing them.
